With Bentley's 100th anniversary coming up next year and the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition Mulsanne. It pays homage to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley, and even contains the remains of one of his cars.
The model is ordered with a regular Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by a 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. was using as his personal vehicle. The influence of the car can be seen throughout the cabin as well as a Mulliner illuminated cocktail cabinet that features a display window with a piece of the original crankshaft from the 8 Litre displayed inside.
W.O. is emblazoned in the form of a B-shaped photoetched air vent on the chrome application that runs along the back side of the vehicle. The front grille has been designed after 1930s-appropriate Onyx and there's an optional chrome cladding around the lower spoilers on the left and right. The front grille also features a unique design, with a chrome-colored mesh replacing the body-colored mesh of Mulsanne. It also has the Flying B Logo.
The key box is made of Bentley wings and has a black flock lining. Key pouches can be purchased to complement or contrast the key box. The set commemorative includes the scale model in 1:18 and an aircraft-like "B" paperweight. The set also comes with an illustrated booklet that features never-before seen images of the original Bentley 8 Litre.

The metal-to-metal knurling on the key fob is reminiscent of the textures that are found in the interior, like the seat temperature controls and the shift knob. Van Braekel says, "We wanted the knurling to look as consistent and elegant" as possible. "It was also important to ensure the fob had in a shape and size that was easily identifiable."

Outside illuminated treadplates and clocks made of brushed silver are offered as standard, while new 22in wheels have self-levelling Bentley logos. Customers can also request their own bespoke Bentley emblem laser-etched onto the rear fixing, as an homage to the 1930 8 Litre W.O. bentley flying spur key that was the inspiration for the car.
